The Indian Government and the Petroleum Ministry have long debated on the increase in petrol price and hike in fuel prices and now the price has been increased thereby hitting the common man under his belt another time with a saying , it has brought profit to the tune of 446 crores .
I would like to disagree with the fact that there is no mechanism as to when the price has to be hiked and when it has to be lowered and why in India especially a delhite pays a special price for petrol, a Chennaite pays extra more and mumbai pays on par with chennai. Differentiation is the key to the Government who wants to rule the public just by finnicky policies and policies which are not popular. Autorickshaw wallas on the chennai city are already charging more for taking the customer for a ride ( haha jolly ride) not to be sarcastic on the meter price. He will start looting the public by saying that petrol prices are dearer.
The way this increase in fuel prices is handled is not proper and it has been done purposely to tax the common man and people who are affluent and the rich enjoys whatever he has been enjoying with no consideration whatsoever for this change. Nor even one has guts to question as to why the price hike is needed now and what is the need, necessity and in the name of reforms one more blunder has been made.
A meagre 446 crores is gonna hit the common man who drives a motorcar, bike or a two wheeler and still spends a considerable amount of his salary to FUEL is the fact .
Hope somebody understands this and brings the price down appropriately at a given time wherein the benefit is passed both to consumer as well as government .
